ATF2 Upsampling
The 752BD features our unique ATF2 (Adaptive Time Filtering) upsampling technology which was developed in conjunction with Anagram Technologies, Switzerland.
All incoming audio data, such as CD quality 16-bit/44.1kHz, is upsampled to 24-bit/192kHz using a high-end 32-bit Analog Devices DSP (Digital Signal Processor) and five Wolfson audio DACs (digital to analogue convertors). "Polynomial Curve Fitting Interpolation" provides a much more accurate upsampled audio soundwave than traditional upsampling processes. And a unique timing system buffers audio data to almost eradicate digital jitter. Vital – as jitter, common in digital audio devices, loses vital detail, often leaving digital audio sounding flat and lifeless.

Video processing
All sources receive significant boosts to video quality and detail with the 752BD's Marvell Qdeo processor. This includes the option to upscale to full HD, add live 2D-to-3D conversion or even upscale to the new 4K ultra-high-definition format.
Universal disc player
The 752BD handles just about every disc out there. Not just Blu-ray (including BD-3D), SACD, DVD and CD, but also DVD-A, AVCHD, HDCD, Kodak Picture CD, CD-R/RW, DVD ±R/RW, DVD ±R DL, and BD-R/RE.
It also features an MHL link for smartphones and tablets, a Mobile High-definition Link via front-mounted HDMI with video upscaling and audio upsampling of all content, and Wi-Fi/ethernet networking for access to all your music, photos and videos over network from UPnP NAS drives, laptops and desktop hard drives.
The latest in transports and Mediatek chipsets mean information loads from discs faster.
Full connectivity and Internet streaming
Two 3D-ready HDMI 1.4 inputs, two 3D-ready HDMI 1.4 outputs, three USB ports, digital optical and coaxial inputs and outputs, MHL smartphone/tablet link, dedicated stereo and 7.1 surround sound analogue audio outputs etc. The 752BD has a connection for everything.
There are also surround sound audio codecs that include Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS and DTS-HD Master Audio, and there is access to online streaming services such as YouTube and Picasa directly through the 752BD’s Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections.
Selectable digital filter with three settings
Steep roll-off filter exhibits strong attenuation of aliasing images outside the pass band (i.e. above 22.05kHz) at the expense of a little pre and post-ringing in the time domain.
Linear phase filter uniquely features ‘constant group delay’ which delays all audio signals at all frequencies by the same amount meaning all audio is fully time-coherent at the output.
Minimum phase meanwhile does not feature constant group delay but rather the co-efficients have been optimised without feed-forward so that the impulse response exhibits no pre-ringing in the time domain.

The 752BD features a new intuitive on-screen display and simple, user-friendly controls, plus backlit remote, ensuring its vast range of features are easy to access and understand.
All metal case
The solid, brushed aluminium front not only looks great, but we design all products with metal cases because they're very stable and introduce less resonance to any audio or visual signal. The video opposite explains why we demand all of our products have metal chassis.
